Why?

Tying someone up in bondage can be super hot, but it can also be dangerous and even deadly.

Start With Negotiation

Before any bondage scene or BDSM session, you must talk to your partner and negotiate with them. You need to negotiate and talk about:

  • Your roles when using the below bondage sex positions
  • What your safe words will be
  • The safety precautions you are taking
  • Hard & soft limits
  • Whether or not you want to engage in certain sex acts (like anal sex or cunnilingus).
  • And a lot more

This may sound like a lot to talk about!

Don’t worry…

We have created a comprehensive BDSM negotiation guide to help you with negotiating before trying the BDSM positions below.

Bondage Needs Consent

Consent is crucial.

You need when trying any type of BDSM idea (even light bondage) because it involves power exchange. With bondage, this typically means..

  • A dominant partner who is not in bondage and has all the (physical) power
  • A submissive partner who is in bondage and has very little power

The dominant partner needs to ensure that the submissive partner happily and freely consents to be tied up in bondage. They’re also responsible for the submissive’s health and well-being when the submissive is bound and unable to care for themselves.

The submissive partner also needs a way to let the dominant partner know if something goes wrong or if they are no longer enjoying themselves.

The submissive partner can also revoke consent at any time during a bondage session, either by asking for it to stop in plain language or using their safe word.

We put together a detailed and in-depth guide on consent that all partners should read before trying any BDSM activity, whether you are just fooling around or you’re in a total power exchange relationship.

Use A Safe Word

A safe word is something that you can say–a word or a phrase–during BDSM or sex activities to indicate that, at least temporarily, you need to stop. A safe word can also be used to end play entirely.

Quick Quiz: Do You Give Good Blow Jobs?

If you are new here, then you may want to take the quiz below to learn how good you are at giving oral sex and satisfying your man. You may discover you that you suck (pun intended) or that you are already a blow job queen.

A safe word doesn’t have to be a word, either, especially when you might not be able to speak because you’re in bondage. It can be an action like ringing a bell or dropping a ball.

You should not engage in bondage play with anyone who refuses to use a safe word.

Check out our guide to safe words to learn how to use them effectively.

BDSM Safety

Putting someone in bondage comes with some risks and dangers.

These risks can be a huge turn on, but…

If something goes wrong, these risks can become very real, and you or your partner can get hurt or worse! For example:

  • Using material for bondage restraints that cuts off blood circulation is incredibly dangerous. Clothing like stockings/tights falls into this dangerous area.
  • Placing restraints against nerves, which can cause temporary numbness or pain or permanent damage
  • Wrapping material around your partner’s neck
  • Leaving your partner unsupervised while in bondage

So, you need to work hard to mitigate these dangers and risks.

This guide on safe, sane and consensual sex covers many of the safety aspects you should consider whether whether you are new to BDSM or you are an experienced expert.

BDSM Aftercare

Going deep into subspace during a bondage session can be one of the most intense and satisfying experiences of your life.

Coming out of it can be jarring and emotionally difficult.

Pleasure may quickly turn to pain and…

Satisfaction may turn to exhaustion.

Our guide on developing a BDSM aftercare routine for your submissive can help them deal with the raw emotions they experience after a bondage session and the physical effects of bondage and other activities.

Bondage Without Sex

Many people like to incorporate bondage into their sex lives to spice things up and become more sexually adventurous.

But…

You don’t have to mix sex and bondage.

For some folks, bondage can be something completely separate from sex and enjoyed without the need for sexual intimacy or orgasm.

If you enjoy bondage without sex, then feel free to use the below bondage poses without actually having sex.

Now…

Let’s learn some fun bondage sex positions!

1. Wrists Tied To The Bed During Missionary

This one is simple, making it a good bondage position for beginners.

Have your partner lie down on their back in bed. Then tie their wrists to the bed posts like in the demonstration above.

If your bed doesn’t have bed posts, you can use the legs of the bed or part of the frame, instead.

Experiment with how far apart you tie their wrists:

  • You can spread them really far apart to increase their feeling of being exposed and vulnerability
  • You can tie them more loosely, allowing them to move their wrists/arms easily

If you want them to be naked from the waist above, then make sure to remove their clothes before tying their wrists to the bed posts.

If the partner with their wrists in bondage is female, this position works great for Missionary style sex or even the Coital Alignment Technique. You can also tease your partner with a toy or perform oral sex on them.

If the partner in bondage in male, then it’s perfect for the woman on top sex position.

2. Doggy Style With A Collar & Leash

Placing a collar on your submissive partner and leading them by a leash around your house (or outside!) is a powerful bondage technique for deepening their submission.

Using a collar and leash during sex is even better.

In positions like Doggy Style, it can feel like you’ve subjugated your partner completely, controlling them like they are nothing but an animal (which is great for those into things like pony play). Some ideas in this position…

Be careful not to jerk the leash suddenly or extremely. A firm, limited tug is best.

This one also works great for other positions, like the Turtle and the Final Furlong sex position.

3. Oral Sex While Bound To A Chair

Tying your partner to a chair is great for “interrogating” them, along with some other very fun things!

First, have them sit down.

Then…

Bind their ankles to the chair.

Finally…

Tie their hands behind their back and then to the chair.

They should now be firmly fixed to the chair. If not, you may need to make some adjustments and even tie their waist to the chair.

  • If your bound partner has a penis, you can now start giving them a blow job
  • If your bound partner has a vulva, you can perform oral sex on them. Side note: This works best when the chair is wide so you can spread their legs
  • If the unbound partner (who is not bound to the chair) has a penis, they can stand up and get their bound partner to perform fellatio on them.

Of course, there are a bunch of other freaky things you can do when your partner is bound to a chair:

4. Bent Over With A Spreader Bar

Spreader bars are wonderful for making your bound partner feel vulnerable. Attached to their ankles, they keep them “spread” out and exposed no matter how much they try to resist.

To get your partner into a position like in the illustration above, start by attaching the spreader bar to their ankles.

Next…

Have them bend over and grab the middle of the spreader bar so that you can bind their wrists to the bar. If they bend their knees, it’s much easier to do.

Now that they are standing on their feet, but completely bent over, you can penetrate them from behind. Some ideas for the unbound partner to amp things up:

  • Grab the waist of your bound partner to balance them and keep them from falling over. This means you can have sex for longer before they get tired from trying to maintain their balance
  • You can reach around and use a vibrator on your bound partner’s clitoris to add more pleasure
  • Check out this guide to standing sex positions for more information on how to have sex while standing up
  • You can get down on your knees and use these blow job techniques on your partner if they have a penis or eat their pussy if they have a vulva or start eating their ass

5. Hogtied

Hogtying your partner is a very intense bondage position.

It requires lots of flexibility and a clear plan on how to quickly release your partner from this position in case something goes wrong.

The partner who is going to be hogtied will start by lying on their belly. Next, they need to put their hands behind their back. Their wrists will be bound together.

Next, they will have their ankles bound together.

Finally, their bound wrists will be tied to their bound ankles, behind their back. How tightly their wrists should be tied to their ankles depends on their flexibility.

Now that your partner is in the hogtied position, there is a lot of fun you can have:

6. Wrists & Ankles Bound During Cowgirl

This one is great if you want to completely dominate a man.

Tie his wrists to the bed posts/legs of the bed above his head. Then tie his ankles to the bed posts/legs of the bed by his feet so that he is spread-eagled.

Make sure to adjust the restraints so your partner is fully stretched out and feeling exposed. They shouldn’t be able to reach up and grab you or kick, but they also shouldn’t be in pain.

Now it’s time to have some fun!

7. Lying On Your Back With A Spreader Bar

Using a spreader bar while lying on your back is a fun and easy bondage sex position.

Start by attaching your spreader bar to your partner’s ankles.

Then, attach their wrists to the bar.

Finally, have them lie down on their back.

The person in bondage will naturally be quite restricted in this position, while their partner will have a lot more control and freedom. The free partner can manipulate their bound partner into different positions like:

Note: If the partner in bondage has a weak or sore back, then try putting some pillows under it to support it during sex.

8. Wrists to Thighs

Thigh Cuffs are like a less intense version of a spreader bar, making them a great option for those who are just beginning to explore bondage. They are also perfect for people not blessed with the flexibility of an Olympic gymnast.

But don’t think they’re boring just because they’re good beginner bondage positions! You can enjoy them time after time.

Start by attaching the larger cuffs to the thighs of your submissive. Once they are snuggly attached but not so tight that they cut off circulation, you need to attach your submissive’s wrists to the smaller cuffs.

Their arms will now be bound and out of action, but…

They won’t be in an awkward or tiring position.

These are some options you can try when using thigh cuffs on your partner :

9. Frogtied

Frogtying your partner is intense and requires a lot of flexibility and mobility from them, so it may not be the best bondage position for everyone. Still, lots of people enjoy this BDSM sex position!

Start by binding your partner’s ankles to their thighs, so that their knees are fully bent and the heels of their feet are almost touching their bum. Thigh cuffs work well for this where the restraints normally attached to their wrists are instead attached to their ankles.

Next, place their arms behind their back and tie their wrists together.

Some thoughts on the frogtied bondage position:

  • Your partner will be able to bring their knees together to make them feel less exposed, but you’ll find it easy to spread them out again and help them to feel submissive
  • Try spreading their knees apart, slowly run your hand down their thigh and then start to finger them.
  • You can also finger them anally

10. Wrist-To-Waist Restrained

Using wrist-to-waist restraints like in the illustration above is great for those into bondage but who lack mobility.

Begin by attaching the waist part first. Once that is firmly but comfortably fixed to your partner, then bind their wrists to their waist.

You won’t be able to move your arms much while in a wrist-to-waist restraint, but they won’t be in a particularly painful position. From here, there are multiple positions to have bondage sex in:

  • Bodyguard position where the submissive is standing with their back to their dominant partner.
  • Jockey position where the submissive is lying down on their stomach and their dominant partner is on top of them, entering them from behind.
  • Using wrist-to-waist restraints on your partner is also great for those who enjoy sucking cock or receiving oral sex in a consensual non-consent scene

11. Handcuffs

Using handcuffs on your partner might seem a little more extreme than using wrist-to-waist restraints, but there are plenty of pretty and comfortable cuffs to make them less intimidating!

As they are also associated with law enforcement, they are also great for those looking to explore different sexual role play ideas.

My advice is to play around with the handcuffs before you begin using them in a sexual or bondage setting. This is because some people don’t realize how easy it is to tighten handcuffs beyond what is comfortable for your partner or how to remove them quickly if the need arises.

You may accidentally tighten them so much that they not only become uncomfortable, but they may cut off your circulation, cause nerve damage or even create a permanent injury.

Once you and your partner are both comfortable with using them , you can try some of these sex positions in handcuffs:

  • While performing a police roleplay, handcuff your partner’s arms behind their back and push them into the “interrogation area.” While they are still standing, push them against the wall and start performing an intimate search that happens to cover their erogenous zones.
  • While still handcuffed, push them to their knees (one of the best blow job positions), unzip your fly and tell them that if they perform oral sex on you. Once you are satisfied, you will let them go
  • You can also have your partner lie down on your bed and then you can use your handcuffs to tie their arms above their head. From here, there are many different sex positions you can use.

12. The Mummy Hand Job & Blow Job

Many people enjoy being totally incapacitated and fully restrained during bondage and BDSM, completely at the whim of whatever their dominant says or does to them.

If you and your partner are experienced with the art of rope bondage, which includes Shibari, then it can be an intense experience to be slowly and carefully tied up in bondage rope until you can barely move and are at their mercy.

This can also be a fun sex position when using bondage tape.

However…

If you are not experienced with the Shibari bondage style or tape, then things may go wrong and you may get injured. A much safer option is using something like a sleep sack. Sleep sacks are just as restrictive but usually safer and quicker to get out of.

Ultimately…

It doesn’t matter what you use. The key is for the dominant partner to immobilize their submissive partner safely. Once they are restrained and unable to move, then the fun can begin…

13. Bent Over & Tied Up

If you or your partner likes sex from behind or anal sex (tips for preparing for anal sex), then bending them over something and tying them up will be very hot for you.

First, you need to put them in bondage:

  • You’ll need to tie their wrists together. Bondage cuffs, handcuffs or bondage rope works great for this.
  • Next, you’ll need to put their legs/ankles in bondage. Spreader bars work great, but you can also use bondage rope or bondage cuffs.

Next, Lead them to the “thing” you’ll bend them over. If you have the budget, you can certainly purchase a custom bondage bench. However, there are also lots of things you’ll commonly find in a house that you can use…

  • Washing machine
  • Couch or armchair
  • Bed
  • Table
  • Kitchen counter
  • Fence, if you live in the countryside and enjoy sex outdoors

After bending them over, you now need to tie their wrists and ankles to the object or the ground so they are firmly fixed in position and can’t escape.

If you are sensual dominant, then you can start pleasuring and satisfying your submissive partner (tips for pleasuring a man and tips on how to satisfy a woman).

14. Sex While Bound To A Chair

I previously talked about giving your partner oral sex while they are bound to a chair.

This BDSM position is about have penetrative sex with your partner while they are bound to a chair.

To get set up, remove their underwear and then bind their ankles to the legs of the chair.

Next, tie their wrists behind their back and then to the chair. If they are not that flexible, you can tie their wrists to the side of the chair instead.

Once they are comfortably bound to the chair, it’s time to sit down on their lap and start having intense sex with them. Here are some tips to amp it up:

  • If the bound partner has a penis, then try a position like Lap Dance or Mastery sex position.
  • It’s a bit trickier to have sex if the bound partner has a vulva. One position where it is possible is the High Chair sex position, although they need to be bound to a stool, not a chair.
  • If you are sitting down in your partner’s lap and facing them, you can reach around and pull their hair to increase your domination.

15. Standing With Hands Tied Above Your Head

Having your partner stand up straight while their hands are tied above their head is a simple bondage position, but…

It’s a great tied up position if you want your partner to feel exposed and vulnerable.

Note: I recommend using padded cuffs for this BDSM sex position as metal handcuffs or rope can potentially dig in to your partner’s skin and hurt them. Beware that holding your hands above your head can become tiring and painful much more quickly than you realize!

First, you need to set up the device that will hold your partner’s hands above their head. For many people, you can use a piece of rope over the top of a sturdy door to achieve this.

However, if you like the idea of having sex in the woods, then go outside and throw the rope over the branch of a tree and secure it.

Next, you need to attach your partner’s wrists to the rope and slowly raise their arms over their head.

My advice is not to raise their arms so high that they are completely straightened out and their elbows lock, but instead, leave some room so that their arms can relax a bit. Then, it’s time to have some fun…

Make sure to have good communication with your partner, so they can let you know when their arms are getting tired or uncomfortable and need a break.

16. Face Down, Ass Up

This bondage sex position is another one that will make you feel very exposed but is also very comfortable and perfect if you like rougher sex.

For this one, your partner will lie face down on the bed with their hands and legs stretched out.

Next, you’ll need to tie them to the bed with wrist and ankle cuffs so that each wrist or ankle is attached to a corner of the bed, as in the bondage example above.

You’ll then put a bunch of pillows or even a sex wedge under their hips, forcing their ass up into the air.

Now, you have a lot of options in this tied up sex position:

17. Regular Or Straight Jacket Shibari

I mentioned Shibari before.

It’s a type of rope bondage that requires careful skill and can lead to some really complex bondage scenarios and submissive sex positions. Getting into this BDSM bondage position can be an intimate and also hypnotic process!

You can use Shibari to artfully tie your partner’s arms over each other and then wrap them around their waist just like you would do with a straightjacket.

Or…

You can just use a straightjacket for the same purpose.

There is also a type of bondage gear known as arm binders that lets you accomplish this. You can buy binders that tie your partner’s hands in front or back. Some include attached collars, too!

For this bondage position, it doesn’t matter too much what you use, as long as you understand how to safely use it. The key is immobilizing your partner’s arms in a way that is comfortable for them.

Once they are immobilized in this bondage position, you can start having fun…

  • If you are a more caring and gentle femdom, you can take care of your helpless submissive like feeding them and giving them something to drink
  • If you are interested in CNC kink, push them to their knees and “force” them to give you oral sex
  • Bend them over your knee to spank them. 16 wild BDSM punishments
  • Put a collar on their neck and lead them around your house with a leash

These 17 bondage sex positions are just ideas to get you started on your bondage journey. Feel free to experiment, combine and even come up with your own positions, especially if you’re skilled with rope, which will open up all sorts of rope bondage positions. And most importantly,

Stay safe and have fun!

This Woman Finally Learned How To Orgasm Easily During Sex. At 42 Years Old. Here’s How…

I want to tell you about my friend Karen.

Karen came to me one day. She was hysterical.

She told me that her marriage was falling apart because she and her husband didn’t have satisfying sex.

Every time they were intimate, Karen was faking her orgasms. It turns out she couldn’t orgasm during sex.

In fact…

She never had an orgasm in her entire life. Not one!

This left her feeling embarrassed and ashamed. And…

She completely hid this from her husband. Thankfully…

It turns out that there is a way for any woman to orgasm. Easily. And have multiple vaginal and full body orgasms during sex and masturbation.

I shared the process with Karen.

After she followed the simple process, she could barely come to terms with how…

Quickly and dramatically her sex life changed.

We met up a few months later and…

She would not stop talking about it,

“I thought I was one of those women who couldn’t orgasm. I used to think I was ‘broken’ and ‘unfixable.’ This saved my sex life, and that saved my marriage.”

Even if you currently struggle to orgasm during sex or when masturbating, this process will also work for you.

And best of all, you don’t need to do anything weird or uncomfortable to start having the best orgasms and sex of your life.
